Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all. Here is Yenari’s 16 week belly shot, taken last Sunday before going for a tasty meal at Jeff and Sarah’s house:

16 week belly shot
I would have posted it earlier if a computer virus hadn’t reaked havoc with our computer (all resolved now, thankfully). In human health news, Yenari’s tailbone is now at the 93% level, so a big improvement over last week. Now its not really preventing her from doing everyday things, but she gets a little reminder everytime she sits down. The real test for her was a three day stretch of work this week – three days in a row was tough for her even when she in perfect health, so doing it while pregnant with remnants of back pain and some fresh tailbone pain looked quite daunting, but she made it through just fine and is back into the swing of things.

Long time no belly. Things have been a bit busy recently as Yenari went back to work full-time starting this past Saturday. She hadn’t been doing patient care since September and had been off entirely for almost a month. She was nervous to go back – nervous enough to have a couple nightmare’s about not giving medicine, forgetting how to do her work, and patients coding. So…she survived three days in a row – she’s exhausted, but basically back into the swing of things.
Here’s the promised belly shot – Yenari at 14 weeks and a couple days:

And…if you thought this might actually be a post without a reference to sewing, here’s Yenari modeling her latest sewing creation – a pair of pajamas with an extra-wide custom pregger waist band:

She thought it was a pretty sad sign when a loose pair of pajamas gets a little tight around your belly (which her other pair did), so she had to remedy the situation.
In other miscellaneous news, we went to the doctor last Friday – we heard the heartbeat and everything was looking good in the checkup. Also, Yenari has been feeling a little rumbling in her tummy, so it seems that she’s catching the first movements of the baby – exciting stuff!

Here’s a shot of Yenari today at 10 weeks and 2 days

Yenari’s a bit upset because I took this after dinner at the peak of the belly instead of in the morning…but, it’s only getting bigger from here, so maybe the next one will just look like a smaller difference. Yenari, like her non-pregnant former self, has been a great eater and just about all symtoms of nausea are gone. I usually have quite an appetite myself and can keep up with Yenari, but these days she’s in another league – it’s not even a competition anymore. Her top fantasy right now is to go on a cruise somewhere…anywhere…as long as its non-stop all you can eat meals!

Here’s a belly shot of Yenari at 8 weeks and 1 day, taken on October 26th:

In the last week or so, the belly has introduced itself to the world (hello world!) and Yenari is starting to ‘show’. The comfortable pants selection is quickly diminishing and the top button is quick to come undone after a meal. Elastic pants here we come!
